About Jane.

 About me.

Jane Stock.png

I have been following my passion for music and honing my talents for more than 10 years. I have not only mastered the art of DJing but also proofed my remixing abilities to some of the industry's most critical ears. With nearly 10 years of experience behind the wheels of steel playing in some of the countries premier night spots, I have developed a massive following.

My signature neo-pro dreamfunk style mixed with energetic vocals has since become an unmistakable sound that has been heard from East to West Coast.

Writing.

I draw from my life story when writing about the experiences of migrant workers. MY first series of poems, My Father's Hands, appeared in The New Yorker and describes how my family crossed the Texas border to give me and my brothers a better life. After receiving my Master's in Fine Arts from Columbia University, I wrote three nonfiction novels about my experiences, including Under the Streaming Sun, which earned the National Prize for Arts and Sciences in 2008.
