About me.
In the last couple of years I have helped organisations with strategy development through future thinking with the focus on empowering each individual to make history by changing the future.
In the past I have held a variety of jobs and picked up a range of skills. I like a challenge, am curious by nature and am always interested in change and innovation. Combined with a background in finance, great analytical and problem solving skills, and a business focus I am able to take on a range of portfolios and roles.
I have also worked as a consultant and finance manager and have held business and change management roles.
I am a people’s person which helped me with creating sports communities and providing great customer services to guests of the luxury holiday villas in Kenya I managed during pandemic times.
Experience.
From 2018 I worked in New York and Boston, where I had the pleasure to expand an existing European agency and built the client pipeline as well as run interactive workshops for clients. The pandemic took me to Kenya where I managed luxury holiday villas, while working on projects in business management, product development, sustainability and partnership development..
I also took on a temporary role as a product manager for a management information tool that supports decision making for CEOs, CIOs and program directors; working with developers to re-shape the tool to expand the market potential.
For many years I worked in financial services in the city of London where I had roles as business manager, commercial manager, programme manager and was head of few programme management offices.
At the start of my career in the Netherlands, I worked as a management consultant in the energy industry followed by a role as finance manager responsible for the financial processes of the shared service centre of a utility company.
Multi cultural: I grew up in the Netherlands and moved to London in 2006 and New York in 2018. I have worked in Asia, Africa and extensively in India. I speak Dutch, English, Portuguese and have basic knowledge of French, German, Swahili and Spanish.

I studied Business Economics at the University of Amsterdam.
My final thesis was based on a research project in Thailand and Vietnam.
While working as a finance manager at Nuon/Vattenfall I enlisted at the Amsterdam Business School on an Executive Master of Finance & Control (Finance MBA), which I finished in 2008.
Interests and Hobbies.
I have a great love for kitesurfing and martial arts. I also like hiking, skiing, mountain biking, snowboarding, am a yoga enthusiast, and love teaching martial arts and kitesurfing.
The communities I founded gives me a chance to meet many great people and organise events and group holidays, and as team rider for a kitesurfing brand I get to engage with many passionate people from the sports industry.
My creativity has been useful while building websites and design apparel for Fujin the lifestyle brand I ran for a while.
I also enjoy reading and watching movies. Currently reading: Dune.
