The Ask.

Managing daily business operations, managing teams and aligning the organisation to meet the company’s goals and objectives.

My Roles.

As head of PMO taking responsibility for several programme support portfolios.

I have a held a variety of business management, finance and governance related roles over the years.

Recently, as a Freelance consultant (remotely) taking on projects remotely in business management, product development, sustainability, and partnership development.

As a finance manager in the Netherlands and management accountant in London I established financial and reporting structures, increased transparency and enhanced the use of management information to support decision making on a senior management level.

As a commercial manager, to manage the benefits of an outsource contract delivering mobile phone services, as well as vendor negotiations.

While working as business manager in areas such as resource management, cost management, project funding, operational integration after a take-over, and spearheading offshoring work to India and an Agile & DevOps roll-out, and as a Secretary running the agenda for the management team including a range of operational tasks.

Other areas I have been involved in are: business continuity, risk management, cost management, resourcing, consultancy, team management (UK & India), governance, planning & forecasting, due diligence, process and product re-design, marketing and communication.

Some Challenges.

Starting from a position of no re-liable data or financial systems.

Working across cultures and dealing with cultural challenges amongst teams.

Results.

Established new reporting structures, targets, objectives and MI that enhanced decision making on senior level and implemented financial governance and compliance.

Optimised service management, enforced contractual obligations, realised benefits of £2m annually and increased performance of vendors by an average of 20%.

Initiated and implemented programme governance for up to 350 projects with £130m spend.
