Only beach on the South Coast which works on a North Easterly wind. With a huge beach, flat water and waist deep water for hundreds of metres, it’s fantastic for beginners and advanced. Good waves too. The walk to the water can be gruelling, but worth it. A big favourite for many people in London. The Camber schools teach here in East winds.

Lancing

Suitable for any level. The beach is perfect spot for beginners with its low tides and gentle, small waves.

Recommended tide 3-4 hours either side of high tide. Flat conditions at low tide in summer. Take note of the beach zoning for the kitesurfing areas before launching.

There are submerged rocks close to the shore.

Cheap all day parking, easy to get to by train from Victoria and a huge beachside restaurant makes it the most sociable site on the coast (map).
